I concentrate on massage during training and after events to aide you in meeting your performance goals. Whether you are a weekend warrior or a competitive athlete, massage can have an important place in your training and recovery. Sports massage sessions combine Swedish and deep tissue massage with an eye towards the muscle groups you are using most. Stretches are incorporated into the session as appropriate. Sessions change in relation to the proximity of the event you’re training for, some emphasizing lengthening and differentiating muscles more, others emphasizing muscle recovery and pushing blood through the muscle groups most taxed. At this time, I’m not emphasizing on-site massage for athletes (for example, at the beginning and end of a marathon), but would love to work with you during training to help you meet your goals.
